A pastor and volunteer business coach from CCT Malungon province, participated in the Start Your Business Training (SYB) in 2015. Pastor Berdin Allado is also an entrepreneur. He particpate in his family business, a Sari-Sari Store, founded by Berdin and his wife. Their children now also help to run the business. Allado’s Sari-Sari Store offers some of the primary commodities such as rice, egg, dried fish, canned goods, coffee, sugar, cooking oil, instant noodles, and much more. What Berdin learned from the training is that you should include a salary for yourself in the business plan. The profit is what comes on top of that. In order to pay a salary to his wife, it was suggested by MBC that he add more products to his Sari-Sari Store and increase the amount of products he sells. More sales means more profit.
He later said that his wife now also receives a salary from the profits of their company. Great to see people applying the principles learned!
