The first training for CCT for future coaches took place in General Santos – Mindanao, at the 2-days meeting on May 6 and 7, 2016. There were 10 participants. Some of them are regional administrators and managers of CCT GenSan in Davao.
The Coach Training
On the first day of this training, the participants were presented some of the Start Your Business (SYB) exercises, so that they have an idea what the coming entrepreneur learned about business. This also gave the coaches some insight on how to prepare for the coaching sessions and how to respond to the micro-entrepreneurs’ questions. On the second day of the course, the MBC explained what tasks are expected of the coaches.
The coaches responded positively, embracing the MBC-CCT partnership. They found it valuable that MBC and CCT bear a joint responsibility in helping people in need.
Connecting Coach and Entrepreneur
The MBC organized a meeting between the coaches and the future entrepreneurs. They had time to plan the upcoming coaching sessions, get to know the entrepreneurs with their personal background and history.
It was a great success for both the coaches and the entrepreneurs to have their first meeting. The training was very well appreciated and welcomed by both parties. The MBC believes in these micro-enterprises as growing businesses. especially through the help of these coaches!
