De MBC training & coaching methode
MBC’s training and coaching method has the ultimate goal that well-functioning small businesses are able to generate an income for the entrepreneur in question. The businesss must also generate sufficient income to be able to pay off the necessary investments.
The process takes about 2 years and consists of the next parts:
Business Idea
In the two-day training ‘Create your own business idea’, the end result is 3 possible successful business ideas for each participant. They look at their skills and talents, how they can respond to market needs and what resources are available to them. They do a short assessment about entrepreneurship and personality. At the end of the training, those who want to continue in the MBC training program fill in a questionnaire, with which they register for the ‘Start your own business’ training.
Participants create 3 potentially successful business ideas by exploring their skills and talents, combined with market needs and available resources.
Business training
The participants start this training with their 3 business ideas that emerged from the training ‘Create your own business idea’. The interactive training ‘Start your own business’ helps the participants to find out which type of business suits them best and which could be successful. They develop a business plan for their own micro-business by applying the subject matter to their future business. The result, the concept of the business plan, is evaluated by the consultant and discussed with them.
Based on one of their business ideas, the participants develop a practical business plan that will enable them to start their own business
Finance for your business
With their final business plan, the participants can apply for a loan from one of the microfinance organizations with which the MBC cooperates. In combination with participation in a savings group, the participants will save the necessary starting capital. Other sources of income may include a revolving fund, savings from family/friends, local community loan schemes, etc
The participants know what they need to make the business viable: they use the business plan to raise the necessary capital, a combination of savings and loans.
Start jour business
When the seed capital is available, the participant starts his new business. He uses the developed business plan as a handbook, so that the capital obtained is sufficient to reach the break-even point. The coach supervises this and they are paired in groups with a company coach who visits them monthly and discusses the progress of their company with them. Bottlenecks and challenges are also discussed.

Guidance by a coach
The participants are paired in groups with a business coach who visits them monthly and discusses the progress of their business with them. Bottlenecks and new challenges are also discussed. The experience of the coach helps the entrepreneur to make the right decisions.
Participants develop entrepreneurial skills by discussing their progress and challenges in groups led by a coach.
Business growth
The well-functioning company can make new investments and thus create new jobs for others. The coach helps the entrepreneur with things like finding a broader working area, expanding the products or services. The experience enables the entrepreneur to later coach others who go through this same process.
The experience the participants gain enables them to make new investments and thereby create work for family or for the community.
